We're engaged!

After a little over two years together Markus and I are engaged. It was official the day before his 27th birthday. It was Saturday June 28th, 2008. We'd been discussing marriage for quite sometime. He'd let his parents and my father know of his intentions. We'd gone together to a jewelry store that day and he picked out the perfect ring. The next day we went and told our families. It's not the traditional story, but it works for us. All that matters is that we love eachother and will be spending the rest of our lives together.

We're going to have a long engagement. It will be almost exactly two years engaged by the time our wedding date rolls around on June 26th, 2008. That way we will have money saved and will be able to take a trip to Europe to see Markus' family and his home back there before tying the knot.
